Edwards is costing Kerry arab votes??? (MSNBC)
I just heard a Zogby rep on MSNBC saying that Kerry had lost support among arab voters because of what Edwards said in the VP debate. What the hell did he say???

2. This is news to the rest of us!????
I certainly believe that Arab Americans are going to choose Bush, who appears to be on crusade against Arabs everywhere, because Edwards "said" something?

Looking forward to hearing more..

22. She said Kerry was at 76% till the VP debates
I can't remember Edwards saying anything bad about arabs. But she says after Edwards' comments, Kerry is pretty even with Bush among arabs. She lost me.

5. He also lost the vote of dead soldiers in Iraq.
WTF does that statement from MSNBC mean and how many Arabs are in the US anyway- we flew the bin Ladens out on 9-11.

Do they mean Middle Easterners?

Heck...remember in Florida that news report of several hundred Arab voter registration forms being allowed in after 5pm on deadline date?

8. Zogby says Kerry is doing well with Jewish voters
A few days ago, Zogby mentioned that Kerry was looking like he would get 80%+ of the Jewish vote - potentially more than Gore. That's hugely important given the GOP's major courting of our community. What does it say that Bush is likely to get less than 20% of both Jewish AND Muslim voters?

I think Bush's "special registration" roundup program of Arabs will not be forgotten. The biggest danger is that Muslim voters won't vote, not that they'll vote for Bush. Or they'll support Nader, a Lebanese American, as a protest vote.

23. Now THAT would be irony
if Kerry wins among muslims AND jews.

Maybe the Zogby girl was just saying that Edwards seemed pro-Israel. She didn't mention any specific comments and the so-called journalist interviewing her didn't ask that obvious follow-up question.

if that's all he said. Maybe they are trying to drum up a story. Wouldn't be the first time.

10. I'm sure
it might have something to do with his stand on the Israeli/Palestinian issue.

I have no idea whether Zogby is right, but the fact that Edwards never mentioned the word "Palestinian" when talking about it may cost them some votes. I didn't like the sound of it, and I'm neither Israeli, nor Palestinian. Just a stupid idealist that wishes humans could actually live together.

11. ArabNews
http://www.arabnews.com/?page=7§ion=0&article=52922&d=15&m=10&y=2004

Urges Arabs to vote... BUSH?!?!?!

The reasoning is completely stupid. From what I've seen and heard, most Arab-Americans will be voting Kerry or Nader.

16. I would not blame Arab American voters if they dont go to the pollss
seeing as when it comes to the I/P issue, there is no difference between the 2 parties. I was really disappointed by Edwards that day, him sitting up there that day trying to look and sound like Bush and his neocons.

18. They're Arab Americans, not Palestinians.
I don't expect Jews to vote based on Israel. It's equally foolish for Arabs to vote based on Palestine.

31. That makes no sense
Seeing as how the Arab vote went to bush* in 2000, Kerry only has Arab votes to GAIN, not lose.

It's bush* that's losing the Arab vote.
