Dear ******* and all MOBsters:

As you know, these last few days will be among the most important in the history of our nation and perhaps the world. As Jimmy Carter said about this election, "Nothing less than our country's soul is at stake."

Many states seem to be 50 - 50 and it is time for mothers (and others) to demonstrate our influence and do our part. There are many things you can do to help elect John Kerry. In particular the MOB is working with America Votes and others to reach our specific peer group. We have pledged 20,000 mobsters to help. Please go to www.mob.org for information on what you can do to help get out the vote.

The single most important thing you can do is vote on Tuesday, November 2. Take friends with you. Secure an absentee ballot, from your local Board of Elections or download one from www.MOB.org, if you plan to travel - now!

The MOB GOTV (Get Out the Vote) Effort

See www.MOB.org on instructions for working in swing and non-swing states. There are many types of activities:

To work on the ground in a swing state: contact your local sister city chapter about traveling plans or go to America Votes You can work on the ground in your own non-swing state as well.
To call undecided mothers in swing states: contact your local sister city chapter about calling parties or [e-mail] with "calling lists" in the subject heading.
To write letters to undecided mothers in swing states: contact your local sister city chapter about letter writing parties or America Coming Together (ACT)
