What was it Pres. Johnson said?
Want to make sure this LTEE is acurate. Thanks much.

I shouldn’t be surprised seeing the front page story on the Cheneys’ outrage over Kerry’s remark about their daughter. She is 35, has been an openly gay activist for years, and works for the campaign. It strikes me that Kerry is being blasted for telling the truth. Kerry answered the question in the context which it had been asked. Being blasted for telling the truth is front page news, yet where is the outrage over the Bush/Cheney lies? There are laws against deceit, and yet we have been deceived time and time again by this administration, from the non-existent WMDs, nuclear capability, cost of the war, the reason for going, and how it would be paid for, and soldiers are dying daily. 20 soldiers were killed in the past 4 days, yet that didn’t make the front page. I long to here some real accountability from this administration. In the words of President Johnson, “I will not run or accept the nomination of my party for a second term”. If Americans think they haven’t been deceived, than deceit has no meaning and the dictionary should be burned.

3. "Vote early, and vote often"
Okay, it doesn't really have anything to do w/ your letter, but it's still my favorite LBJ quote.
