My signless WWII vet neighbor receives a sign. (Story inside =)
So, last week my wife and I got a new Kerry sign for our front yard. While I was putting it up our neighbor, who is a WWII vet and a democratic supporter, asked me where we got one. When we told him, he said he'd love to have one, but it was just too far of a ride for him and his wife.

We told him not to worry, and we'd be happy to pick one up for him.

So, we got him one.

He proceeded to take the sign and put it in his front yard as well only AFTER he put a strip of barbed wire through the crease at the top of the sign. (Inside the crease where the sign is folded over to create two sides.) He put it there so people who try to rip the sign out of the ground cut their hands on the hidden barbed wire.

He said he's done this before, and has found signs pulled out of the ground, but still in his yard, with traces of blood on it.

Mmmm. Isn't revenge sweet?

Anyway, thought I'd share... =)

7. See, I have no problem at all with people booby-trapping their signs
because, so long no one practices theft and vandalism, the booby-traps won't harm anyone. The only people who will be harmed are the kind of low-life scum who steal and vandalize other people's private property.

And maybe Phop Phlop in Vietnam and, oh...Poland. Can't forget good ole' Poland! Good news about the sign, what good neighbors.
