I sure hoped somebody Tivo'd Crossfire |
|
As someone who thinks Crossfire is a crappy show that doesn't contribute one iota to furthering public understanding of important political issues, I'm grateful to Jon Stewart for refusing to stick to the strick and crack jokes on demand.
This was one for the ages folks. One of those rare moments of candor that you almost never see in the circus world of politics. And for Tucker Carlson and, sad to say, Paul Begala, let's just say this wasn't their finest hour. Sure, Carlson came off as the bigger d*ck (how could he not?), but it became obvious that neither was going to admit what a pathetic joke their show had become.

1. Crossfire is vaudeville and I hadn't watched in weeks |
|
But I'm sure glad I got to see it today. I'm not sure Carlson could comprehend what went on- maybe Begala couldn't but I'll bet every single viewer understood.
Steward did a one-man intervention.

8. I'll bet his comedy will rankle them a little more after this |

What he did was so patriotic. The quintessential Everyman.

Of course, when you do something like this, you used to completely BOMB the bandwidth and the CPU cycles on the server I used to share with you, rendering my site useless.
But when you do this stuff, you r00l. Rock on.
