ATTN: Election Attorneys-- can we have Republican Party Charter Pulled?
Hey! I know this sounds like a longshot, but if we could prove that the Repukes are SYSTEMATICALLY disenfranchising voters, is there some mechanism to decertify them as a party altogether? What is the law that grants political parties to BE parties in the first place? Any thoughts?

1. YOU
Are speaking my language. I think it should be investigated and implemented as soon as possible.

2. It's Mostly State Law
under which the political parties are organized. The FEC regulates political parties' roles in national elections, but a party does not need to be "certified" to exist. (Think of the Democratic Socialists of America, or the National Socialists, or the Communist Party of the USA.)

I'm not an election law specialist, but I don't think such an effort would go anywhere.

Anyone else know?

8. Most states have laws that define the political parties...
and what they can do.

Most states have the Democratic and Republican Party defined and the laws they must follow. Separate laws are provided for all other parties.

4. RICO
I don't think it's even an issue for the FEC, etc., but rather an issue for the FBI. Here we have a well-organized group conspiring and acting to deprive citizens of their rights in order to maintain the conspirators' hold on power. Wouldn't RICO apply?

10. What about the State Laws
Is there a way to go after charters or what have you in individual states? Can we 'decertify' them AS A PARTY or something similar based on any individual state law?

11. Sounds reasonable
If a party doesnt play by the election rules of the state, they should not be able to partici[pate in that election! I bet they would decertify Nader's party if they got caught with something like that!
