Blitzer just suggested soldiers' mutiny a "political statement"
What a jerk.

He didn't say it directly, but did ask their Pentagon correspondent if there was any indication it was a political statement, thus bringing that possibility up. Kudos to her for saying it wasn't.

I haven't checked Free Republic, but I wouldn't be surprised if the freepers are calling it a political statement, if not treason.

2. You know they are calling it treason.
Anyone (but them) not willing to march gallantly into certain death for god and country is traitorous, by their standards.

3. They should all request transfers to Alabama
so they can work on Kerry's campaign. If W could do it, why can't anyone else?

9. PLEASE, GOD, or whoever, MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
get those soldiers HOME

and NOW

I'm seeing lots of those yellow ribbons on cars these days....the pray for our soldiers ones

mostly with jingoistic, ignorant other stuff on them

I'm thinking about making up some stickers that have "bring our soldiers HOME" on them, to put on cars that have the yellow thingies on them....no glue, or anything, just a message for the ignoramuses who can't get past such simplistic sloganeering

7. Military is already starting a coverup
By doing an equipment safety stand-down.
They willtry to spin this as soldiers refusing to go because they thought the equipment was not safe, rather than the assignment unsafe.

14. They did refuse because of the equipment
That's what made the mission so much more dangerous. They wouldn't have had the normal air or hummer escort AND the vehicles were slow and poorly maintained.

17. No escort
No kevlar vests, no armored humvees, no supprt.

In fact it appears that not one red cent of thr 87 billion dollars that was voted on to get
these things has been spent on them
