My husband said that a few minutes ago on Fox News Dick Morris said that if the election were held today, Kerry would win. Then he predicted there would be a terrorist attack and people would switch to Bush.

I hope I have this right, I didn't see it myself.

on some FOX show saying that Bush would win if there were an attack. If we're feeling all fat and complacent on election day, Kerry wins. He's probably right. God knows all the terror talk has kept Bush's numbers up much higher than they would be.

16. Ive been assuming that the lack of a major terrorist attack in the US ..

is the reason why people think that Bush is so successful in that area, mostly because I can't think of any other reason as to why one would think that. I would tend to think that an attack here would be a catastrophe for him.

Thwarting a major terrorist attack on the US in advance would be the ticket for them.(I mean something real, not these vague 'we found a computer' or the 'rove-ing' Chechens etc etc.)
