Polls are a waste of our time and focus..Wake Up! |
|
NOBODY VOTES BASED ON THE POLLS. GET IT?
If a poll says Kerry is ahead we cheer If the same poll shows Kerry behind, people start discrediting that poll.
Too many chicken-littles around here running around saying "the sky is falling" when they see a bad poll number.
The only poll that matters is on NOV 2.
What did YOU do today to help JK get elected on Nov2?
poll watching and poll discussion and poll bashing ain't gonna get it done.

1. That was George Bush's message to his supporters in 92 |

Didn't work then, either.

2. Some people need these polls, for whatever reason. It is not for you |
|
to say. As a liberal you should know that trying to impose your beliefs on others is wrong. Some get motivated to work harder. You can't tell others what to do.

4. Not tellin others what to do |

JMHO at bottom of post.
Its my opinion that poll's are being focused on way too much. "Faith without works is dead" someone said the other night.:-)
Poll watching and bashing and hair pulling over what a poll says is not work ...once again IN MY OPINION

5. People are working harder.......... |
|
how much harder( motivation) can we all be to get Bushit out of there. The polls for the last year have been paralyzing. Every day we freak out when they are bad and smile when they change to our side. AT BEST they are only a snapshot of what is happening and realistically, since they are so bias, they are not even that.

The polls are important. Some people on the fence will go with the most popular, especially if they haven't the time to throughly investigate the issues. If the polls say a candidate can't win, some people won't vote for them.

Politicians use to suppress the vote among voters who are not following the race closely. It makes them think that their vote want make any difference. So why bother.
That is why it is so important to participate in them.

10. Polls are EXTREMELY influential. |
|
They are innacurate, unimportant, and not at all valid on thier face, but because they are so widely discussed, because they claim to provide a running tally of the election, it becomes a major part of the election. People dont vote based on polls, but many people dont really vote based on anything.
Those who vote based on things already know who they are voting for, because they have actual reasons and have thought about it already. The remaining voters arent voting for a specific reason, they are going to make the decision through perceptions, whims, and whoever they feel best about on election day, and in this way they are influenced strongly by polls.
In fact it influences all of our votes to some extent or another, because it influences our perception of everything. It effects the context.
