Bush crap about lawyers causing the flu vaccine shortage |
|
during the debate was just that..Bushit . The reason more companies don't produce the vaccines is it's not a big money maker for them. They like to concentrate on the sexy make big bucks put those commericals on TV and ask your doctor if the BwannaDick Enlarger Purple Pill is right for you! type of drugs..the ones they can jack those prices right up on and charge seniors more for.
Fucken idiots in this country that believe that thimbldick.:nuke:

1. I saw Michelle Malkin's blog on the flu vax shortage. |
|
Even she admitted that the litigation issue isn't in play here because of the vax injury compensation program.

2. Did he really say that? It went right past me. |

What an idiot.
In any event, no amount of heh-heh-heh-ing is going to save him from the wrath of senior citizen voters.
First he dupes them with his phony health care cards... then he says "no drug imports from Canada" as Medicare rates go up... now he's got them standing in line for hours on end in the off-chance they can get a flu shot.
Anything else you'd like to share with our seniors before election day, Mr Resident?
Jackass.

BUSH: Bob, we relied upon a company out of England to provide about half of the flu vaccines for the United States citizen, and it turned out that the vaccine they were producing was contaminated. And so we took the right action and didn't allow contaminated medicine into our country. We're working with Canada to hopefully -- that they'll produce a -- help us realize the vaccine necessary to make sure our citizens have got flu vaccinations during this upcoming season.
My call to our fellow Americans is if you're healthy, if you're younger, don't get a flu shot this year. Help us prioritize those who need to get the flu shot, the elderly and the young.
The CDC, responsible for health in the United States, is setting those priorities and is allocating the flu vaccine accordingly.
I haven't gotten a flu shot, and I don't intend to because I want to make sure those who are most vulnerable get treated.
"We have a problem with litigation in the United States of America. Vaccine manufacturers are worried about getting sued, and therefore they have backed off from providing this kind of vaccine.
One of the reasons I'm such a strong believer in legal reform is so that people aren't afraid of producing a product that is necessary for the health of our citizens and then end up getting sued in a court of law."

4. Bush blames every failure of his Administration on trial lawyers |
|
I even heard him give a speech blaming lawsuits against companies for all the job losses. The only problem I haven't heard him blame on junk lawsuits is terrorist attacks, and even on that issue he has suggested that lawyers like Kerry and Edwards would have the wrong approach to dealing with it!
