Sinclair Equal Time Offer is a Trap!!!!! |
|
If Kerry Edwards 2004 coordinates with Sinclair to air something on Sinclair stations, it will have clearly violated FEC laws by accepting a like-kind contribution far in excess of the contribution limit.
One of the central reasons that Sinclair can shield itself from an FEC violation for Stolen Honor is because there has been no clear coordination between the station and the Bush campaign. This is the same reason that after the SwiftBoat Liars came forward with their attacks, the Kerry campaign argued there was coordination; without it, the 527 organization was protected.
This is a trap! Don't bite!

is much more effective.

In the morning of February 16, Buckner sent a note to Grant requesting terms of surrender. Union General U.S. Grant's reply was one of the most famous quotes to come out of the war, giving him his nickname of "Unconditional Surrender"; in part:
Sir: Yours of this date proposing Armistice, and appointment of Commissioners, to settle terms of Capitulation is just received. No terms except unconditional and immediate surrender can be accepted.
I propose to move immediately upon your works.
I am Sir: very respectfully
Your obt. sevt.
U.S. Grant
Brig. Gen.

2. I don't think you have to worry |
|
I think the chance of Kerry appearing during this stunt is nil. They will not lend credibility to this garbage.

I don't support dignifying it with a response. But what the hell is anyone going to do about it two weeks before the election? Afterwards, who is going to care? It's gray enough that it would not reach the legal process.

5. It should reach the legal process with a derivative suit |
|
Directors and officers of a corporation are not allowed to pursue any objective other than maximizing shareholder wealth. Sinclair's management has breached its fiduciary duties to the shareholders and MUST be held accountable.

6. Never heard that about corps. |
|
And if any corp claims that a political contribution goes towards maximizing shareholder wealth, is that not a bribe?
Why else would a corp make a contribution if not to maximize profits?
