1. hah monster chained in the attic

Sorry it reminded me of that. Really though, I didn't see Lynne Cheney freak out when Keyes called Mary a "Selfish Hedonist"

3. Hugo Simpson
Glad you get the analogy, it makes perfect sense. Of course the ultimate irony would be if Liz Cheney their other daughter turned out to be a lesbian which would be like Doctor Hibbard's realization that Bart not Hugo is the evil one. Another good comparsion to this, well not really a comparsion per say but a compare and contrast of how a politican should treat their daughter, Dick Gephardt who I know is not well liked on here but I really admire the man because of his committment to economic issues and how he handled his lesbian daughter Chrissy, he and his wife don't hide and hang their heads in shame and promote right wing anti gay politics, in fact Gephardt though I feel he's no doubt a traditional guy is very tolerant and doesn't have his daughter as a symbol of shame but accepts Chrissy like he would if she was straight, and that frankly is how it should be.

4. "How dare he call our little monster a child of God!"
"How dare he act like our defective child is somehow, well, NATURAL or something!! What a cheap, tawdry political trick! Next thing you know, he'll be respecting her, or even acting like we're some sort of normal family!!"

5. Another thing I'd like to add
I was told by my grandma that Lynne Cheney was interviewed by Cokie Roberts and Cokie brought up Mary and Lynne freaked out saying something like "I didn't come here to talk about her", now contrast with Mrs. Gephardt. Sorry I know many of you can't stand Gephardt but the man respects his daughter as a person and doesn't have her as a skelton in the closet, he instead is very proud of her.

6. They did not take her to the RNC. Lynne Cheney writes lesbian
novels and I bet she is a frustrated lesbian who won't allow herself to enjoy her real sexual preference. But imagine that anyone married to Dick could decide that men are real monsters and start preferring women.
