For a GOPer perspective I talked politics with my dad
..who plans to vote for Bush. He says he has a friend who was in Vietnam who pretty much confirmed to him that atrocities were common-place. My dad doesn't dismiss the Swifties as liars. But he doesn't think Kerry is liar, either.

Dad also says he thinks Kerry stomped W in all three debates. He also seems to have gone from being enthusiastic abut Bush to calling him the "lesser of two evils."

For what it's worth, I thought I'd pass that along. If my dad is representative, I think Bush's support could be wider than it is deep.

1. He sounds reasonable..how does he see Kerry as evil though? It
can't be on the economy. We aren't safer. He is trashing our social security and medicare. We have lost high standings in the world on education and infant mortality. More people are uninsured. What does he cite as his reasons?

3. Sorry To Bring Up A Sore Point
But I think you had a similar situation in Iowa, when Kerry was behind a frontrunner whose numbers were not as deep as surface polls suggested.

4. That's an interesting way of looking at it
I haven't heard that yet, but I would say that is very possible. I hope it's true.
