You know the US is fucked up when I can't turn on TV/radio without hearing
a grown man cry.

I turn on the TV, I see a grown man in Iraq crying about his dead, innocent family. I turn on the radio, I hear a grown man in Florida crying about his roof blowing away in one hurricane, then the rain soaking his drywall in the second, and then the whole thing blowing away in the third, and he has to fight with the insurance company.

It's like this every day. Things are fucked up in America when all I hear is grown men crying.

1. Thats what happens to the sheeple when they refuse to get Honest.
They know somethings not right, but blame it on Kerry. WTF.

2. Florida is trending towards Kerry. It's not an issue about sheeple. It's
about Bush fucking up the world so bad that even the most secure Americans -- adult men-- are getting fucked over really bad.

GROWN MEN CRYING. WTF?

Let's go to work. Let's get Kerry elected.

3. No
You will hear this even if Kerry is President. Even after 8 years in office.

There is grief in life and as long as the general public simply eats up the emotional issues that the media feeds them, the reports will keep sticking cameras in the faces of those who grieve.

But, if the gist of your post was simply that "the US is fucked up" because you hear this on the TV/radio and are not saying it is that way due to politics, then I agree wholeheartedly.

6. These people are grieving over shit the Bushes are directly responsible
for doing.

Bush knows that global warming is coming but he polutes the atmosphere even more. Meanwhile Jeb is shielding the insurance companies for liability for damages.

The Florida guy is crying over the, uh, perfect storm of fascist politics and natural disaster.

Do I need to explain why bush is responsible for adult men in Iraq crying about their wives and children getting blown to bits?

8. or in other words, I wasn't talking about men crying about their babies
falling down wells, or shit like that. I'm talking about men crying about things that the government has total control over.

4. off topic: Mon after JFK's murder, there was a huge memorial service
at the U where I was in grad school. The quad was filled; we were smashed together. The the faculty marched thru in their academic regalia.

One of the major elements of that event: it (Nov 1963) was the first time I had ever seen grown men cry in public.
