The October Surprise is . . . |
|
. . . not a surprise at all. There will be multiple "surpises."
Terror alerts in the three or four days before the election. Predictions of actual and impending attacks to stoke fear and suppress the vote. Perhaps even a thwarted "attack." Spain and the repeated Homeland Security warnings will be the backdrop. Police at every polling station - will you really want to vote?
Other possibilities include:
1) An attempted "assasination" of the President - he "survives" and, with Laura at his side, his poll ratings go up.
2) New bogus allegations against Kerry - abortion, drugs, adultery, etc.
3) Iran.
I'll be shocked if these people give up power, so expect a another long fight between the election and the inauguration, even if we win. And if he does go, expect him to muck up th eworks as much as possible during the transition.

I could see any or all of the above taking place. It's too bad we can't have the election on 11/2 then the Inauguration on 11/5. I want them out of there. I still have this fantasy of seeing the lot of them being frog-walked out of the WH.

3. Exactly, even if Kerry wins ... |
|
... Bush has exactly one month to drive this country like a rental car and then hand the keys to the smoking wreck to Kerry.
"Here ya go, John. Good luck, fucker."

6. I'm Betting October Surprise Is On Other Foot |
|
October surprise will be indicting Karl Rove in the Valerie Plame affair, locking up minor GOP state flunkies in electoral fraud, and a major medical event in the Bush/Cheney camp.

8. Wouldn't that be great? |
|
We are supposed to be staying optimistic and hard-working. We are supposed to be phone banking, walking precincts, registering voters. We are supposed to be visualizing a Kerry win.
Most of us are doing some of those things. But you have a great attitude. You are not succumbing to the fear that they want us to feel. The fear is a form of kool-aid, too.
