Like A Black Fly In Your Chardonnay ,Post Your GWB Irony Here!
Irony abounds in GWB World! Bush must be living some kind of parallel universe where his reality is the direct opposite of what everyone else sees plain as day. And for his supporters to continue believing him, well, they're in a Cult, that's the only way to explain it.

How can anybody believe stuff like:

The press isn't showing all the progress we're making in Iraq. We're making progress but they aren't showing the positives.

But...but....the press can't even leave their hotel rooms anymore because it's too dangerous to go out and document the "progress." They freely covered the invasion, they covered Saddam-era Iraq but now they can't even leave their hotel rooms.

1. Avoiding importing Canadian prescription drugs because of "safety"
but wanting to get flu vaccine from them at the same time. I think my head's going to explode.

3. The Flu vaccine
First, he speaks a long line about trusting The People to make all the economic decisions in their lives, especially those that his rich friends can profit from.

Then, he makes it illegal to buy prescription meds from Canada. His reasoning? They could be contaminated "Third World" drugs.

And then, after that, when one of his Free-Enterprising friends' pharmaceutical companies botch the job on the vaccine and produce the year's supply with contaminants, he contacts companies that can possibly finish the job in ... Canada!

As Yakov Smirnoff once said, "America! What a country!"

4. I Think Canada Said NO On This....
Seriously, why should the Canadian taxpayers subsidize us? They invest tax $$ in healthcare which is what we should be doing instead of investing them in the continuous LOL "liberation!"

6. Political Theory 101: Conditions in Iraq Ripe for Strong Man Rule
Interestingly enough basic political theory holds that democracy is the most difficult of all forms of government to establish. Dictatorship rises easily amidst economic and social turmoil. So then what is this business about so neatly spreading freedom?

If anyone cares I have a small overview of basic political theory and the irony in Iraq policy at:

thanks

It's ironic that a born again Christian would behave like a satanic cult leader.

It's ironic that a 'war president' would put so much effort into avoiding participation in one.

It's ironic that education is touted as such a high priority for the constituents of a president who has no interest in discovery.

It's ironic that this president has such a thick skull while having such a thin skin.

Whew...

On edit: damn, I forgot catastrophic success.

16. The seething need of his life is to show up his Daddy, and he's failed
Not only that, his disasters and petty little wickednesses only make Poppy seem much better in comparison, and that comparison will be voiced with regularity. If he's unseated now, he'll be an absolute pariah to the right; he'll be the Bald Soprano, the name you can never mention in private society. If he pulls out this election or steals it, he's liable to lose the house in '06 and be hounded to his just ruin. Either way, they won't be able to cover up the disasters in a second term.

As he sits there in the corner, wearing that Napoleon hat and sucking on a Liter of Beam as he sticks needles into the crotch of his Kerry doll, the phone will never ring, yet he'll see his dad on TV being consulted as an elder statesman. May he live to be two hundred years old.

He's wanted to show up his daddy and prove himself better all his nasty little life, and he will not only fail, but resuscitate daddy's reputation.
