Do I Have To Expose Another Outlier Poll
The Newsweek Poll which has everybdoy's panties in a wad does not make any sense at all....

Their internals show Kerry leading among men and losing among women... If this is the case there has been a seismic change in voting behavior...

The gender gap has existed in every race since at least 1980 with more women favoring the Democratic ticket than men...

1. that is wacky and enough removed from reality and history
to disregard completely. Could it be a misprint?

2. I don't know why people are worried.
Any way you slice it the poll shows a dead heat, with Bush getting less than 50%. That's bad, bad news for an incumbent.

9. women are in play
in that Kerry has to widen his lead there, its not that he's losing that group. Mondale didn't lose the female vote.

7. The Washington Post Poll Has Him Leading Among 8% Among Women...

check out the www.washingtonpost.com poll

They have him losing the male vote by 10% and winning the female vote by 8%

I'll go on a limb...

If the Newsweek numbers for women are right Kerry will lose bigger than Dukakis ....

However I don't believe these number for a minute ...

6. Who's panties are in a wad?
All that I've seen are posters pointing out that the poll is wrong based on the gender gap that they're reporting. The top line numbers aren't bad at all, it's just that the poll is unbelievable based on internals.

8. It's A Figure Of Speech...
Read the thread...

Somebody has their panties in a wad...

If the Newseek internals are remotely correct I might as well go fishing on election day...

Thank God they aren't correct...

10. exactly
And Kerry won't win with Men either. This poll is ludicrous. Hell, Mondale won the female vote and Clinton never did this well among men. The paper this poll is printed on should only be used for toilet paper.

11. Do The Math...
Clinton won by eight percent and won the women's vote by twenty percent...

I'd love to talk to the person who conducted the poll....

That's the headline if true...

Gender gap is stood on it's head...

13. I Think Bush Is Slightly Ahead...
with the emphasis on the word slightly...

I think an honest, informed person would say they have no idea who is going to win...

As a person of faith all I can do is work and pray...
