A High Tech Twist to Old Fashioned Campaigning
Charlie Smith is a Dean Dozen candidate running for South Carolina State House District 119, which is in the city of Charleston. Kevin and Diane Puleo are traveling throughout the southeast region volunteering for Dean Dozen candidates, and are with Charlie Smith's campaign this week.

At the end of his first day of canvassing in June, Charlie's sore feet and aching back told him that 3000 doors was a long way off. Enter the Segway."
I have posted about Ken Campbell in Oconee County before. Here is the latest blog update from him.
http://www.blogforamerica.com/archives/005295.htmlSNIP..."Come in, Ken. I'll save you some time... I'm a Republican—and I want you to know that you have my vote. I heard you were going door to door and I decided a while back that if you came to my door, you'd walk away with my support. We need new blood around here and I appreciate your hard work."
"Mr. Campbell, I normally vote Republican, but I'm disappointed in my party this year. The county government is a mess and now we have this DeMint guy
trying to defend this 23% sales tax idea. We need a shakeup. You have my vote"
"It takes guts to put yourself out there like this. I don't even care what party you're with. You've got my vote."
These are some of the comments I've received on doorsteps in my county over the past seven days. Oconee County lies at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina. I have knocked on almost 5,000 doors to date... and the common thread in most conversations is the desire for "competition" in politics."
