The message being that neither can Kerry and that Bush's words have value and strength

I think it is major foreshadowing that Bush used this meme.

Whether or not you believe it is likely or possible that OBL will be produced by the BFEE dead or alive the important thing from my perspective is to make SURE that as many people as possible have heard the words OCTOBER SURPRISE in the same breath as OSAMA CAPTURED or FOUND DEAD.

This is the process of innoculation mastered by Rove in the "Fortunate Son" Bush cocaine story and others - like Kitty Kelley and the 60 minutes fiasco.

IF we can at least convince people that an Osama "find" is a planned Busdh political operation (an OCTOBER SURPRISE) then MAYBE such a move can be preempted on the part of the BFEE.

If too many people believe it is at least POSSIBLE then the surprise factor or innoculation will not work to help Bush and WILL backlash.

On the other hand it would be a close call in any event.

If we shout the meme over and over and talk about it, then IF it happens, people will think it political.

But if we DISMISS the possibility then it helps Bush because IF it happens it will NOT backfire.

Am I clear on this.

This IS my life. It is OUR lives. My Kids' lives.

That the use of "He Can Run but He Can't Hide" has any foreshadowing. I think it was more to plant the idea in the minds' of people that Kerry is just as frightening as Osama.

Kerry did a great job of turning that against him in the third debate (well the first and second one as well). B* just looks like a little kid who's having a temper tantrum.

In 2000 it was the Bush-Sharon scuttling of the peace deal with Arafat (Arafat was ready to agree but the Bushies convinced Israel negotiators (who made a special trip to Texas to meet Bush)that they would get better deal if they scuttled the talks by upping the ante to where ARAFAT could not accept the deal and killing Gore's presidential hopes)

SOMETHING is going to happen, I am afraid, to try to sway the electorate.
