That's what the reporter just said. No specifics about the capacity but why would she make that remark unless there was some significance to the crowd size? I could be reading too much into it but find it interesting none the less.

3. I read that he was hitting "Democratic" areas in Florida.

Yeah, Shrubby, that sounds like a good strategy for you to embark on in these final days. I like it! Those debates in which you dazzled makes me certain you can pick up a whole pile of votes from disgruntled dems. NOT!

6. Kerry would have filled the place
but Kerry isn't a fragile little man who requires loyalty oaths and party registration confirmation from his crowds.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Only a handful of free tickets remained late Friday for today's campaign appearance by President George W. Bush on the grounds of a Fentress Boulevard building owned by International Speedway Corp.

Gates for the event, at 535 Fentress Blvd., are slated to open at 12:45 p.m., although Bush is not expected to speak until sometime after 3 p.m. There will be parking in Speedway-owned lots.

11. It's that loyalty oath nonsense
Cheney was here in KC a few months ago and spoke to a whopping 400. The next day, Kerry came and the crowd was 23,000!!

I wish we could count these crowd sizes and bumper stickers and yard signs. If we could, Kerry would have won in a landslide by now.

14. Only "true believers" woud give up football on Saturday!
Also, Volusia County went for Clinton and Gore. The speedway owners are for Bush; Jeb got the Florida taxpayers to pay for an overpass across U.S. 92 to their offices--payback time!
