My email to Sinclair Advertisers

This story that they are showing as a news piece on John Kerry is a partisan hack job. This a blatant political contribution to the Bush campaign and they are not being held accountable. We are not talking about movie theaters and such---this is the nations airwaves which are in fact owned by the American People, many of which who do not want "our airwaves" being exploited like this. What is the end game here?

Sinclair wants to consolidate markets such that it can own multiple stations in the same market. Doing such will allow them to do two things:

1. This will lead to less competition, such that they will be able to charge more for advertising. Which will cost you more money to reach the same market.

2. They want to reduce operating costs by consolidating resources. This will eventually lead to less quality content, as once again, there is no competition. This will mean less viewership, and ultimately less profits for you.

If you let Sinclair get away with this and Bush gets reelected. You are going to lose money.
