Folks, hit the DRAFT issue HARD
Kerry is leading Bush in almost all areas. He won 3 debates handily and made the president look like a lying bufoon in two.

Yet some of the voters still want Bush. Why? Fear.

How can we undo that?

By long detailed explanations on the Patriot Act and rambling thoughtful liberal commentary?

No.

You do it by scaring them back. You scare them with the draft.

1. Here is the KEY (see below)

Before Congress made improvements to the draft in 1971, a man could qualify for a student deferment if he could show he was a full-time student making satisfactory progress toward a degree.

Under the current draft law, a college student can have his induction postponed only until the end of the current semester. A senior can be postponed until the end of the academic year.

3. and risk a cease and desist from the RNC?
Apparently weasel-boy Ed Gillespie and the RNC files a cease and desist against "Rock the Vote" for making the suggestion that there might be a draft. "The President said there won't be a draft, therefore, there won't be a draft." Unless Bush flip-flops...

6. Raising the Draft issue, makes us look like...
Edited on Sat Oct-16-04 02:55 PM by The Nation
conspiracy theorist paranoid freaks, hellbent on scaring people into the polls. Exactly the tactics that the REPUBLICANS practice.

Sorry, but it's true.

This is definitely not an issue that 'resonates with swing voters', you'd have better luck talking about the Economy, Jobs, Health Care, etc... you know, REAL WORLD issues.

14. I have to agree.
I don't believe this is the route to go. Stick to provable facts like the economy and Iraq.

Wants to know how Kerry would add 40,000 troops in Iraq without a draft. I'm not excited about this promise by Kerry. What's the response?
