Is there any chance the polling is being set up? Too close to call so it |
|
sets the stage in peoples minds for another Florida? When the voting irregularties turn up on election day and charges of election fraud are reported, folks will say "Well the election is so close you have to expect this." So the Dems will get trashed if they try to call for recounts or take legal action and the Repugs will scream "FOUL" because "everyone knew" this election was too close to call?
I don't like to believe that every poll is rigged. I was a person who used to believe that companies were honorable and would never manipulate results. That competition would keep everyone honest. But given what we've seen in the last few years, how can we trust that anyone is honest when it comes to politics or our money and economy?
Why not say the election is "too close to call" to set us up for failure, once again? (BTW: I DON'T feel it's close. I feel there is overwhelming support for Kerry, but if they set it up we won't notice because they'll get rid of the Dem votes some way or the other when we vote.)

and I agree - when you have the Iconoclast writing what they wrote, etc. - it doesn't seem like a dead heat.

2. Yes, I believe there is media manulipation going on here. |
|
By the way polling is getting more and more outragous and reliable. My gut and my mind is telling me they are just trying to keep Bush in it for the drama of a close finish. this so they can exploit it for the news coverage.

7. Even my generally apathetic husband doesn't believe these polls |
|
My husband stays busy with his work and hobbies and doesn't participate in politics or follow what's going on closely like I do, but last night he was adamant that there is no way Bush can still be tied or ahead of Kerry in the polls after the debates and four years of never ending bad news. He is convinced they are setting it up to steal the election again.

the Democratic party voter with these ACORN registered one person 25 times for money stories. They are lying now so that when the Diebold lies come out they have something to point to. Every state with paper ballots will be overwhelmingly KERRY. Only a Kool-Aid Drinker would believe that Bush can run away from 4 years of UNMITIGATED FAILURE and emerge a winner.       :hurts: :hurts: :hurts: :hurts:

I think the only way Bush can win is if he cheat. The poll our going try and make people think he never cheated. They don't want to start a 3rd war at home. Now I don't know what I will do if I fine out he cheated,do you.

15. Yes, and there's the possiblility that Polls and Media are discouraging |
|
folks from turning out. On the "upside" when it's this close then one would hope that both sides get angry and are determined to "defeat the polls and the media."
In this way, the Media can "play both sides against the middle" and come out smelling like roses.
BUT! Given that the same scenario is happening with Kerry (Media distorting what Kerry says, focusing on trivialities, giving most air time to Bush and everything he says) how can we not feel we might be getting set up for the same "script" of 2000.
This NEVER should have happened. And, we have the same cast of characters "behind the scenes" in both campaigns as we did with 2000.
Only difference is, that Kerry did add at last minute the Clinton folks, but so late that he doesn't have the bounce that he might have if he'd added Lockhart and Carvill before.

favor are good. But, remember when Gore wasn't "supported" by the Party machinery? What if he gets "set up?"
I know it sounds "tinfoil." But, what if they "throw out the votes" and our Dem's cave...and Kerry is a "gentleman" just like "Gore."
How do we know that the Bushies won't make such a stink that Kerry gets "manipulated" and has to "cave" just like Gore was forced to do.
Gore's "Internal Polling" must have shown he would win, too. But, something happened there and he got very "bad advice" not to fight and not to call for a total Florida Recount.
We know that Kerry didn't get his campaign "in gear" until the Clinton Ops came in and put him more "on the attack."
How do we know Kerry would hold against them, if they try it again???

Gore went to Vanderbuilt Divinity School.
Kerry went to Yale Law School.
Who's more likely to fight back, a minister or a lawyer?

16. I've been saying the polls are cooked for weeks. |
|
You can't tell me that we come out of the four debates, with Kerry and Edwards coming out in front (the first Bush-Kerry debate being a massacre), and we still see Bush with a lead, or Kerry pulling virtually even.
It's been explained how Gallup and other polls are skewed into polling more Republicans. It's asinine that we see polls on a daily basis.

27. They take these damned polls every day now. And, everytime they give |
|
results the "Media" runs with it. Causes us Dems to have these "Up and Down" fits when polling once a week would be sufficient.
It's all "manipulation" to give Tweety and the rest something to Yap about endlessly every night.
