Check out this Poll. Must See! Guaranteed Cheer Up! Amazing! |
|
I just polled the "likely voters" in my household. Amazingly, the results were:
Kerry 100 Bush 0 Nader 0
Then, just for kicks and to try and be a responsible poller...I polled even "unlikely voters". Of those I polled (cats, dogs, toddlers included)
Kerry 100 Bush 0 Nader 0
Take that to the bank!!! :hi:

1. Sigh, I wish it was that way at my house. |

It is 2-1 Kerry vs Chimp. I have raised a freeper daughter. It is a chuch thing. She is convinced that Bushboy will end abortion. I try to tell he he has had the executive branch and the legislative branch for almost 4 years. Where is his proposal to end it? Where is legislation to end it? Roe v Wade is law supported by our constitution. I tell her exactly what Bill Clinton said, Abortion should be rare and it should be legal.

Many denominations have put out statements supporting a woman's right to choose, but many churches/ministers believe abortion is wrong all the time and so preach against it. Maybe your denomination has a statement to back up your side?

If Bush really did want to end abortion and not just cynically use it as a wedge issue, ask your daughter why his people drafted the partial birth abortion ban so that it lacked any exception for life and health of the mother? In light of the fact that the Supreme Court has said this exception is required for a statute to pass constitutional muster (under the Planned Parenthood v. Casey "undue burden" standard), it certainly looks to me like Bush and his cronies are trying to exploit this issue rather than solve it.
A single clause could have ended all "partial birth abortions" in this country. The President, however, thought it more important that he have a wedge issue during an election year than to "save all those babies."

My polling shows the same thing! Inter-household and family-wise polling indicates 100% support for the Kerry/Edwards slate. :)

can we get any networks to put our poll in the news? it's about as scientific as the ones they're using now!
me, my boyfriend, and our dog, Quagmire, who is definitely a lover, not a fighter.

9. 100% Kerry at my house, too! |

Amongst definite voters (if we're lucky enough to live and be able to get to the polls--middle age and healthy so it's a "thumbs up" so far!) Amongst unlikely voters, the cat, she's for Kerry, too.
