2. He's a pathetic old man who has an insatiable need to service |
|
his ego at the expense of this country. He offers no credible alternative, but wallows in his attention a national candidacy brings. I could accept his campaign in 2000....but not this year.
His relationship with the Republicans means he is either fatally naive in his understanding of politics or the most extreme form of duplicity I have ever witnessed.

Well, I have already started to think of his name as a new euphemism for what he represents.
Nader (verb):
1) To enter into any critical political or legal contest out of self-interest with an implication that your involvement is altruistic or non-partisan, yet fully knowing the negative and biased impact you actions will have on any of the parties involved.
2) Influencing an outcome by feigning to be a third party.
3) Implying an altruistic motive while covertly supporting a specific cause.
See: Traitor, turncoat, egotist, phony, Tronjan Horse.
Anybody want to show some examples of pulling a "nader"?

5. Minor quibble with your first point; I think Nader sincerely believes the |
|
crap about there being "no difference between the parties."
That's why he's both so tragic and dangerous.
Otherwise, I fully intend to introduce the verb "nader" into the language.

Well that was only a first draft. Subject to review by my peers ;)
We do need a consensus on the definition, of course. My opinion is based on the under-belly of Nader, his money, and his past. That is open to research and verification.

4. Depends: If Bunny is re-elected; point at Nader and laugh as he watches |
|
everything decent and right he's done in his entire life be undone by the 2nd Bunny Regime (laugh because otherwise we'll have to cry hysterically).
If Kerry wins; quietly hope that Nader comes to his senses and works with the "enemy" to undo the damage of the 2nd Bunny Regime.

6. If Kerry wins: Olympian indifference. If * wins: I have a few ideas, but |
|
unfortunately I can't post them, as I rather suspect they're all either illegal, contrary to the laws of physics, or both.
Either way he certainly deserves to be shunned by absolutely everyone for the rest of his miserable, pinched life--and he will be. The only reason anyone cares about him at all at this point is because of his spoiler potential, and he knows it. That's why he can't quit. Of course as soon as it's all over, his new Republican friends will drop him like a rock, and he's alienated everyone else--Democrats, Greens. Oh, sure, he'll always have a few diehard supporters--hell, Michael Jackson still has loyal fans. But he's going to be spending some very lonely days and nights, I rather suspect. And it is truly a sad end to what could have been a noble life well-lived. He's already undone just about everything he once stood for. He might die alone, unsung, and unloved; but he'll have a damn fine epitaph, you bet:
SEE, I TOLD YOU SO
in mile-high letters.
I mean, what more could anyone aspire to?

9. He should be given an ambassadorship |
|
to someplace obscure, far away and unpleasant, preferably with poor accommodations and a lot of bugs, and where you can get to and from only on a once-weekly flight on a DC-3 held together with duct tape.

10. Nader'll see everything good and true he dedicated his life to |
|
destroyed by the 2nd Bunny Regime.
That should take care of it--except his "thanks" will be the end of us all, unfortunately.
