When Bush* Returns To Civilian Life...
will he become one of our nation's "Elder Statesmen". Will he write a book or two? Will he find a humanitarian cause? Will he fight for peace? Will he go on speaking engagements?

Can you imagine?

1. He'll engage in some sleazy biz
...with his handholding pals in SA and Mexico. Bet on it--they'll throw him on boards of directors of companies that any thinking person will consider risky business.

2. Yes the nation will need someone to continue to fuck up foreign policy

He will go on the talk show circuit ...I imagine starting with Jerry Springer...perhaps he will do something humanitarian like invent a better beer bong. I have high hopes for him in the private sector. He will continue to murder for the cause of life everywhere he sees that life needs to be defended and others need to die so that he may look like a real tough guy.

4. He'll clear brush on his pig farm and commune with his cows.
No I can't imagine him doing any of what you mentioned. He hasn't done any of the above so far.

5. Realistically, he'll make millions in speaker fees.
Let's face it -- he's more loved than his father was when he left office and GHW has made a fortune making speeches. Also, Poppy's friends have always looked out for Georgie and they won't let him down this time. He'll probably end up as baseball commissioner.

8. That could be but how tough would it be for him to show up a couple
of times a year and make a few hundred thou each time, especially if someone else writes the speech? That's assuming he can sober up for it.

11. Paid for giving speeches that are full of cliches?
What's he going to talk about? Osama? Saddam? Non-existent WoMD? The environment? His failed foreign policies? Or my personnel favorite, Tribal Sovereignty? Really, what would the inarticulate boob talk about? It's plain that he won't be giving any paid speeches to World Leaders like past Presidents have.

13. You and I would never pay him or go to one of his speeches
but I wouldn't have gone to listen to Poppy either. But according to Kitty Kelley's book, both Poppy and Bar have made millions in speaking engagements. Why are the repukes clammering to see the "rock star" now? They can't all be paid supporters.

It may not last long but he'll make money making speeches, mark my words! His "base" will always welcome him with open arms!

17. I'm surprised that idiot has a base.
Really, he is the most insincere man (and I use the term loosely) on the face of the Earth. But you might be right.

14. Hopefully his crimes will catch up with him.
Rove will spill his considerable guts, (remember that scum bag Halderman and the other rats who deserted Nixon). I tell you there is high treason here, * the criminal does not deserve a civilian life.

That is why * is so determined to win.

23. My hope is he'll immediately be brought up on
charges of war crimes.

And all the rest of those "good old boys" right along with him.

With no hope of some plushy, minimum security prison reserved for wealthy, white men of power.

24. He will become a founding member and exalted icon in
a new, quasi-religious political party that will splinter the Republican Party, probably named the American Values Party. He will not run for office himself - his deteriorating brain will prevent that - but he will be used as a beacon to attract every disenfranchised, homophobic, anti-choice fundie nutcase in the country. The AVP will be funded by Rev. Moon, Rupert Murdoch and Richard Scaife, and they will start by placing candidates in local, state and Congressional races in the Red states.

I like to think he'll have a nervous breakdown and crawl back inside a bottle, but he'll be too valuable to the dark forces for them to allow him that respite.

25. I for one plan to write to the government of the State of Texas...
...and ask them to repeal all laws concerning buggery, bestiality, and carnal relations between man and sheep.

Bush'll need something to keep him busy, and he might as well keep on doing to his farm animals what he's been doing to America for the last four years.

Cheers!
