Rumor: Bush was on cocaine in second debate

Evidence: jaw twitching. I talked to someone with a background in clinical psychology, and that person indicated that Bush exibited signs of being under the influence of cocaine in the second debate.

Bush has no control. Go back and find a copy of the speech Bush recorded at Alendria's Air Force base on 9-11. He was clearly drugged up or drunk. He slurred, his eyes were read.

The rumor here around Austin for years has been that Bush is still a drunk. I have a friend who along with a group of his classmates, saw him drunk as governor at the Gov's Mansion. My friend got called by several reporters and interviewed about it, but no one would run the story. They claimed it was unverifiable, but believe me, when an editor who went against Bush died in an unsolved Anthrax attack, a lot of the crusading went out of a lot of reporters.

Bush has some type of dependency problem, whether coke, alcohol or something else. I've seen too many signs of it watching him, and I've spoken to too many people who have worked with him or spent time with him here in Austin. The media can't find hard evidence of it, but it is one of the reasons W so rarely does press conferences, and one of the reasons he can sound coherent one day and not comprehensible the next.

For sure.

But, I have a very difficult time believing that his handlers and his family would expose him to the stress of the presidency if there was any chance that he would overdo it and expose a fraud of the Party. For that reason, I prefer to think that he is on medications and they can't get the formula right. Because no one would be so stupid to support an illegal drug addict in that world leader position. Right?

I've always said that the focus shouldn't be on him, it should be on his handlers. They have to make group decisions about how they are going to handle him, coach him, educate him, groom him, and when they are going to let him relax. So are they all on drugs or drink that they would do this to him by running him again?
