What WILL get a Kerry victory in Wisconsin:
Edited on Sat Oct-16-04 09:45 PM by JohnnyCougar
Badnarik! In our 2002 gubernatorial election, our Libertarian governor got 11% of the vote, allowing our Dem. Governor to win with 45%. If Badnarik can get his ads out, it would be bad for Bush. We can steal the frustrated conservative vote away from * in Wisconsin. It will be easier than getting them to vote for Kerry. Send this link to any conservative you know in Wisconsin!

Edit: Badnarik will spend the entire week before the election campaigning in Wisconsin, too. I hope this guy helps us out.

2. Don't forget Peroutka
I've seen a number of yard signs for Michael Peroutka, the Constitutional Party candidate here in Appleton. He would appeal to more traditional conservatives.

4. ANG in Iowa
Peroutka has a big following in the Iowa Air National Guard. The soldiers cannot vote for Bu*h and they are too "conservative" to vote for the right man, so many are voting for Peroutka.

3. hmm..
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Wisconsin traditionally a blue state? If so, I think the best strategy would be to appeal to the base, and make sure they all go vote for Kerry!

5. It's been trending Republican lately
Gore only won here by 0.5% in 2000. I am worried. There WILL be massive GOTV efforts in Milwaukee, though.

6. It's very close
It's Democratic in Madison and Milwaukee but Republican in Northeast Wisconsin and in the rural areas.

7. Sounds like a lot of MN. Getting the vote out in the cities is essential
of course. Also Kerry is also visiting a lot which will help. No more calling Lambeau field the wrong name..I hope. Of course we have the Iron Ridge according to shrub. I don't think that went over well there anyways, and he wasn't too popular in that area to begin with.

8. Getting out the vote in Milwaukee IS essential.
That's why local Rethug Scott Walker was trying to prevent Milwaukee from printing enough ballots. Bastard. We got them anyways.

9. That seems to be a nationwide trend..trying to suppress the vote.
So much for a democracy. I can't believe how on much monitoring it is taking this year to make sure things are on the up and up.

10. Milwaukee is VERY essential
A huge black population that went 98% Dem in 2000.

Gwen Moore is the candidate for the House seat there, and she seems to be mobilizing people to vote. This is great.

Plus, Feingold has been getting hit with negative attacks from Tim Michels. Nevermind that Michels is an idiot and the GOP just pulled their money out of his campaign, conceding defeat. Michels has been hitting the airwaves heavily and I'm sure that's motivating Feingold's supporters.

Feingold seems to have a stronger following in Wisconsin than Kerry does, but I'm sure the close Bush-favoring poll numbers are going to motivate more people to vote this time around.
