Tonight I saw Feingold debate his opponent Michels in Eau Claire.
Feingold stomped Michels, no doubt, and no surprise. What DID surprise me was the whole atmosphere. It was a Feingold show all the way. Out in front of the auditorium before the debate there was a large, pumped bunch of Democrats with Kerry/Edwards & Feingold signs, doing a good job of being loud & enthusiastic. If there were any Michels people around, I didn't really notice them.

When the two candidates were introduced, Michels got a smattering of noise & applause. Feingold set the crowd roaring. The difference in the receptions of the two candidates was not merely obvious, it was overwhelming. All around, it was a Feingold night in western Wisconsin.

If things are going like this in the rest of the state, I understand why the RNC decided to cut their losses & not pour any more $$$ into the Michels campaign.

close in Wisconsin...Are Widsconsin voters going to vote for Bush and Feingold? I think Feingold has a lock on this race and Kerry does too, but the polls don't show it for Kerry yet.

5. Yes.
Feingold gets alot of Bush votes. In fact, almost 20% of Bush voters like Feingold. He may be a Democrat, but he has an independent streak in him that some Republicans like.

He would do a great job there.

In the meantime, I hope his coattails can help Kerry win.
