Rove knew that nobody would change their mind, he just wanted a distraction from the fact that Kerry won the 3rd debate, and the media ate it up. I wish everyone would just stop talking about it, because it's hurting Kerry's message. Everyone I've talked to thinks it's a joke, that Lynne and Dick were "outraged" by it.

7. What are they outraged by? |
|
That Kerry believes the homosexuality of their daughter should not preclude her from enjoying the rights of an American citizen?
Or are they outraged that Mr. Kerry recognizes that she is proud openely homosexual woman and campaigns for Mr. Bush as such?
Or are they outraged because their daughter is a proud openly homosexual woman?
Or are they outraged at the thought of their homosexual daughter enjoying the same rights that they do?
I'm confused....what are they outraged by?

That's my whole point. It is just a political stunt. Kerry's comments were perfectly respectful.

Yes, they are looking to "change the subject" ( they ALWAYS are) and yes, they did get whomped in the debates.
But I think they may be a little worried that Mary's prominence... highlighted now by both Kerry AND Edwards, remember, in front of HUGE television audiences.... may suppress turnout amongst their base. ( And I mean "BASE".)
Frankly, I'm finding it one of the more interesting subplots to this election.
