Boston Globe and (Minneapolis) Star Tribune go for Kerry. Chicago Tribune and (Denver) Rocky Mountain News go for Bush. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=694&ncid=696&e=1&u=/ap/20041017/ap_on_el_pr/newspaper_endorsements

I am cancelling my subscription. I'll get my cartoon fix (Get Fuzzy, Doonesbury and Boondocks) on the internet.
Damn them to hell.

2. We don't get any credit for the Globe endorsement |
|
That is just expected, and would be labeled a disaster if they endorsed Bush. The Minneapolis paper is helpful, though.

9. They've endorsed the GOP presidential candidate as far back as I can |
|
remember.
And I've always liked the Trib better than the Suntimes.
Take solice in the fact that they endorsed Mellisa Bean over Crane in the IL-8

12. the hell with them, maybe 100,000 cancellations will get their attention |
|
I am sure there are at least 100,000 Tribune readers that will be disgusted by this endorsement. It's time to vote with our dollars.

7. I hope the Denver Post goes for Kerry. |
|
I've read some pro Kerry stuff in the rockymountainnews lately but guess it was too much to ask for the rw rag to endorse Kerry.

13. I don't think they've come out yet |
|
Even though they endorsed Bush in 2000, I think they will go for Kerry this time.

I stopped buying it years ago when I registered for it online - mostly just for local news and Eric Zorn, who is a great columnist. I'll write and ask him what he thinks of this.

15. Replay of 2000 for all four papers |
|
The interesting news relates to the papers that switch. So far, no defections from Kerry to Bush, but a few in the other direction.
