Mary's Silence On Lesbian Squabble

Washington) 365Gay.com has learned that the GOP outrage over Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry's remarks about Mary Cheney may have been orchestrated by Mary herself.

Sources close to the Bush-Cheney campaign tell 365Gay.com that the idea came up in a telephone call between Mary and her parents immediately after the presidential debate Wednesday night.

The younger Cheney, who serves as a backroom advisor to her father, suggested that she would continue to be a "issue" for Democrats unless something was done to stop it immediately.

Mary Cheney's sexuality has never been a secret. Prior to joining her father's 2000 campaign she worked as a gay and lesbian outreach coordinator for Coors Brewing Co. In 2000 she served in much the same function on her father's campaign.

10. I recall something about the GBLT community...

...being rather irritated with her efforts for Coors. Though I do think it's interesting that the woman has made a career out of doing GBLT outreach, but she's letting her parents and BushCo use her in such obvious fashion. If Bush/Cheney were really human, they'd agree that yes, practically anyone could and likely does, have family that are members of the GBLT community, and quit trying to use it as a wedge issue all the time. But no, they're "outraged" over attention being called to the fact that the "#2" spot is occupied by a man with a lesbian daughter, and as a result, he doesn't agree with Bush on the FMA. I.e. personal experience generally guides individuals into more sensible positions regarding these issues. But they've never been interested in robbing themselves of wedge issues to keep their religiously insane in line. Education and the betterment of society are not among their goals. Propaganda, divisiveness, greed...that's where their priorities lie.
