Great PHOTO....Iowa greets Kerry, as he flies into Des Moines...
Go Kerry !!!! Thanks, Iowa......

Mark McClain, an airline pilot and farmer, mowed ‘KERRY’ into his 40-acre field on the approach to a Des Moines Airport runway. Each letter is 600 feet tall and 400 feet wide.

17. I was born in MN and live there now, but grew up in NE Iowa in the
beautiful bluff country just west of the Mississippi. A prettier place could hardly be found...idyllic. Trout fishing, agate hunting, hiking, canoeing/tubing, autumn road trips around the boonies to see the leaves...fabulous.

5. That is incredible. BTW, does anyone know
how do farmers plow large-scale words or pictures into their fields? How do they keep spatially oriented? ... I was in an unbelievably complicated corn maize recently and I could not figure out how they had done this miracle.

There are programs that can produce mazes and all kinds of stuff. It's very cool, indeed :)

19. Well, if you weren't PLASTIC,
maybe you'd know where your craw was!

Thanks for making me laugh out loud. Another reminder of my mum tonight--she used the terms "craw" and "hide" for people, instead of animals. Weird. Maybe she's trying to tell me something.

doodoo doodoo doodoo doodoo

9. It's tradition to do that in Cedar Rapids as well.
When a President comes into the Cedar Rapids airport, the student body of Prairie High School spells out his name on the football field which is not too far from the airport.

16. Just try and steal THIS yard sign, suckers!

Maybe we should all start mowing our yards (if you have one) and painting our houses with his name. It could turn into a fad that would attract a lot of pressl
