I posted earlier I was tired...I am re-inspired
I have read the responses to my thread till it quickly dropped here as things do. I have read many responses to one of Will Pitt's threads. We are all tired, maybe some more than others. I feel like I fight hard, I am in a blue state but I fight tooth and nail for votes here, anyone who will listen (and even some who would rather not) hear from me. I tailor my messages. My tongue and my cheeks are bloody from the times I have bitten them over and over again to turn somebody around enough to hear some of the truth. And then when they hear that bit I let up on one piece of one cheek and give them the next bit of truth. Some have given so much more than I can fathom to this election. But oh we are all fighting.

I believe, I do to the core of my soul.

You all re inspire me everyday, you give me hope.

John Kerry gives me hope, yes we will have to hound his administration from day one. But what a joy it will be, at least we all have a chance of being heard!

A revolution is coming, the groundswell is deafening when you put your ear to the ground.

We will prevail, in the end we shall prevail. Many have been awakened to the travesties being done in their name. Just like the election of 2000 and the irresponsible leadership of the past 4 years has wakened a sleeping beast in me, more are being wakened every day. I will no longer despair at how asleep those I talk to have been, yet I will rejoice in every one who wakens from their slumber. We shall prevail.

1. What has been achieved will never be undone but will be built on.
And the internet is really the main reason. We would be nothing without it. And the other side can never utilize the internet to its fullest potential -- that would mean inadverdantly exposing their base to the trillions of other ideas on the internet. That would be their undoing.

Sounds like you need a break though!

2. Steady As She Goes, Kerrykat...
This is a marathon, and fortunately we have a candidate that has known this and is putting on a final kick...while this regime is starting to implode. It's hard to see it now, but I've never felt this confident in such a close contest and I'm positive Kerry will win convincingly.

I was going to post about how I know we now have enough votes. We started with the majority...never forget who really won in 2000...and for every one person we've lost, 100 have come to join us...and they're more dedicated and energized than ever. I've never seen the Democratic party more alive this year than in any campaign since 1968...and this time we're all united with a strong common goal.

We've hit the apex of what will be looked on in the same view as the McCarthy era of the 50s...a dark time that tried America's soul, but that common sense finally stopped the swing to the right and set the table for the 60's...a decade of great social change and progress. I can hardly wait for another era like this to begin.

I just hope we can keep our collective cools in the heated two weeks ahead. It's gonna be a wild ride and we need to stay focused as best as possible. If anything, I'd suggest you take an evening out...go to a movie or find a place to really escape. Close off the election and avoid it at all costs. Get some fresh air, some sleep and then get ready for the big finish. We are going to win, just don't let the other side's desperation go beyond the empty rhetoric their psychobabble always is.

Cheers!

3. Thanks
LOL that was actually the plan for tonight, get the baby in bed and then just us. About 20 minutes after she fell asleep, the knock on the door. It was my upstairs neighbor I had been working on and had given Farenheit 9/11 to watch, he wanted us to come upstairs and watch it with him, he was shocked, incensed and wanted someone to talk to while he watched it, so up we came. It is good and should have made me happy, but had planned a break, and I don't know seeing how simple known facts floor good people and how they didn't know, it is just tiresome on the 50th go around LOL. But tomorrow is all about the parks and playgrounds with the light of my life!

4. Enjoy The Moments...They Become Teenagers
Last night was our 22nd wedding anniversary...so we also got away and tomorrow is just following up on a lot of the work we've been doing on our local races. We've got the chance to steal a House seat and it's getting very exciting around here. I may get the chance to be totally BLUE...LOL.

Each election has its own personality and this one is one of the most passionate I've experienced. This fits with 1968 & 1972, above '92 & '76, a lot more determined that 2000 and who cares about the others...LOL.

I haven't seen so many people coming together and there's both a synergy and momentum that is starting to take root. Just don't get too wrapped up...either way you'll be an emotional wreck for weeks after the election. I know...I wore the losses for weeks.

Those who know me know I'm a strong realist with a strange perception about these things. A close friend said he's never heard me as confident and positive about how things are going to turn out on Nov. 2. If we all stay positive, good things happen.

Cheers!

And thanks for keeping up the good fight from before I was even a twinkle in my parents eyes through when I was old enough to know better but didn't give a rats arse, and up till today when I have woken up!

6. wide awake in Maryland
I haven't really slept since 2000, really since we lost the Senate and House. But I've been fighting this fight since I was in HS. I'm 44.
