8. Where? Lol! Just think of the good shepherd!
Call it that crazy Creole blood but I would rather stay behind and wake up one effing sheep than walk off the cliff with the rest.

I path leads to certain death...

14. Yes but not just Bush- the establishment in general
Though we vehemently disagree on candidates, I have little doubt as to the sincerity of many Clark supporters here. Now how do I wake you up on things like the NED and CSIS? Or is this not an appropriate thread?

I'm less scared of Bush than I am of the people behind him- Bush is, sadly, just one head of the Hydra...

When we get to the nominee part of this nightmare, I look forward to watching Dems band together to kick that SOB out!

15. Bush is a figure head
for the PNAC. If Clark was, I could see your point. I'm wide awake. Problem is, the dems have their supporters of pre-emptive war and classical empire as well and nobody is noticing them much (too busy trying to paint Clark as one).

25. Oh by God YES we do!
And if I have anything to do with it, those 'Dems' are on their way out too- right along with Bush! Had you been at DU earlier, you would have seen the momentum building up to this. Every single one of them has been pegged for dismissal and the repudiation will be brutal.

You will really have to forgive me, and others who are wary of Clark, if we can't accept him at face value. These times are simply too dangerous.

It is with sadness that I see how much Clark supporters are hurt and mystified by the reception Clark is getting but this shouldn't be too surprising. Honestly, if you comb through the archives, you'll see that the majority of DUers, old DUers, were against Yugoslavia, the CSIS, the NED, the SOA before Clark was even in the picture. I really am sorry because like I said, I don't doubt your sincerity.

12. In me, it must be crazy Celt blood, but I agree it's better to save

a sheep or two than allow them all to plunge off the cliff together, following a false shepherd.

16. so?
what's the difference? I was hoping an issue could come up and that person might say why their candidate has a good solution. I guess I shouldn't expect anything like that.

I know, but the rightiwing propaganda machine is in full siwng, and if we don't find a counter, we might as well hope against hope for 2008, because that's all we'll have.

11. We had better get used to our candidates being criticized,
because the shit's really gonna hit the fan once we have a nominee.

The Republicans will lay into our nominee like there's no tomorrow.

13. Yes, and we had better pick the BEST candidate,

not the one who's been topping the polls for so long. We'll sink like the Titanic with him at the helm.
