Bush's campaign speeches - WTF?????
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 08:17 AM by Skittles
he says the same shit over and over and never backs up anything; he did the same in the debates. One freaking RNC talking point after another; no analysis, no depth whatsoever, no plans. Do Bush supporters REALLY not see him for the simpleton he is? PLEASE tell me they're really supporting the republican party and not that piece of SHIT. LORD. Can people REALLY not see him for what he is????

1. You are echoing my son's words.
My son is 11 years old. (minus any swearing, of course.) It's amazing to me that an 11 year old is more intelligent than around half of our population.

3. they put the interests of their party above the interests of America
that's why I will never EVER consider voting for a f***ing republican. (I refuse to capitalize the word 'republican' out of sheer disrespect.)

7. He's being a cheerleader, rallying his base, trying to look like a winner
Common sense and reason do not exist with Bush supporters

Chris Matthews on NBC this morning said that Bush is being shown on TV news as an exuberant upbeat guy who thinks he's going to win in front of cheering crowds, whereas Kerry's events seem more subdued with glum faces behind him and Kerry giving lectures. He advises Kerry to try to achieve a different image for the evening news shows to present over the next 2 weeks if he wants to win.

8. from my experience with republican lab rats at the golf course......
The chimp supporters do not see him as the complete delbert asshat simpleton that he is. To them he's crusader chimpy, protector of freedom.

One of my favorite lab rats told me the other day that the number one reason he was voting for bunnypants was because "he would protect us from terra." Mister rat then when on to inform me that 25 chechnyan (?) terraists with backbacks had slipped across the mexican border into texas and were going to attack our schools.

My response: Bogga, booga. Sounds like che and fidel in the mountains. Can't sleep terraists will eat me. If the chimp wins hillery will be president in 2008. Now watch me make this putt.

10. Ummm... Mr. Rat ?
You're voting for him cuz he'll protect us from ter'rists ? For example, he'll protect us from the evil Chechens that successfully snuck through our borders by... stopping them from sneaking in ??

Douchebag.

11. poor mister rat recently lost his job..........
He was making $20 a hour in a highly skilled metal parts fabricating deal. They moved the plant south. Now he works making aircraft seats for $9 an hour.

Mister Rat can't see the economic connection.

It's all about the terraists and ms kerry.

13. He's not the simpleton,
they are. All bush has to do is stay on message and keep it simple for the indoctrinated.

14. To better understand this phenomenon, go to
a superb article written for today's New York Times by Ron Suskind. The title of his article is "Without a Doubt," and it explains how such an inept president as bush* commands the absolute support of half of the public, even tho he offers no explanations of his actions. The article is long, and you have to register to read it (free). I found it fascinating...especially pages 9, 10, which tells bush's plans for his second term. I think you can link to the article from atrios's website too, not sure.

15. Bush's speeches bring to mind two infamous Nazi statements --
one from Hitler ("in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods" -- see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_lie ; Hitler was writing that about the Jews but it's what he did himself), and the other from his propaganda minister, Goebbels, who said that a lie repeated often enough becomes the truth.

17. The best part is...
the man still reads off of a script. You'd think after repeating the samething over and over again he'd get it.

18. That's the same WTF? feeling I've had since the first time I laid eyes on
him. Still can't understand how people can just swallow all those lies without question. It doesn't speak well for human nature.
