The new GOP word is out - "Voters Must Take the Responsibility" |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 08:52 AM by troublemaker
This is talking points from the top, because Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Gorge Will all used the same phrase in the space of about twenty minutes on one TV show to answer any questions about potential election fraud, minority under-counting, felons lists, illegal destruction of registrations...
"Voters have to take responsibility for their own votes..."
Yes, all problems are answerable by simply blaming the voters themselves.

WTF? After you vote it's pretty much out of your hands. How the hell are you supposed to be responsible for your vote? When paper ballots end up in the trash it's not your fault unless you put them there.

7. Right. The voters must take responsibility |
|
...because Bush will never do it.
I always took a kind of comfort in thinking that since Bush was never really elected, his actions could never be seen as being our fault.
Of course, the most responsible thing the voters could do this year is recognize the errors Bush refuses to own up to and throw his useless ass out of the White House.

Too bad * doesn't have the brains to take responsibility for his idiocy....
Maybe it's sour-grapes pre-election-loss spin. "See, I told you if you didn't vote for * you wouldn't get him!"

13. How to take responsibility for your own votes: |
|
If somebody steals your vote, get a gun and go after that bastard.
Now, for the record, I am NOT advocating this violent action. I am saying that, in effect, that is what the Republicans ARE now advocating. Right to revolution, and all that.
