Uncovered: The War on Iraq - show this film to a freeper

A group of us at Democrats Abroad just finished watching Uncovered: The War on Iraq. It was an incredible film, that uncovered all the lies prior and during shrub*s little war using very credible sources.

We've seen Outfoxed, Fahrenheit 9/11, The World According to Bush, etc. but this Greenwald film I felt would have the greatest sway with the freeper crowd, or any group of undecided voters. The problem with the other films is that many dismiss them for a variety of reasons (too anti-religious, too slanted etc.) With this movie there is no room for any of that. The lies of the Bush administration are shown over and over, and then the lies are shown to be lies by incredibly credible EX CIA, Foreign Service etc. people.

Please, watch this film, then show it too as many people as you can. It's powerful, and nearly impossible to argue with.

1. My dad thought the same

F 9/11 is very captivating. It's got it's funny parts, but some people, for whatever reason, can't stand Michael Moore.

Uncovered was very sober, balanced, and level headed. It's an effective film for undecideds that are turned off by Moore or the percieved partisanship of the other films.

2. Heartily Agree!

Fahrenheit 9/11 is an op ed piece -- loved it mostly because it reinforced my own point of view. Uncovered is a true documentary and, as you say, extremely powerful.

It's been shown on the Sundance channel for a while, for those who get it.

3. I have that one

The repetition of the lies by so many is its power and its damning revelation. However, freepers don't seem to use reason, so its hard to say how many it will sway.

I think this has been out for awhile but logic is apparently not a reason to be convinced. Now had this film talked about sex with an intern maybe we'd have something.

Well your probably right, that few true freepers would be swayed by anything coming from the house of reason. It does seem to me though that the ambivalent, the complacent, hell even some of the apathetic might be moved by this film, if only you could get the idiot box off long enough to have them give it a look. Again, of all I've seen and read that makes a statement against the current administration, Uncovered: seemed to make the most irrefutable case while still managing to make you squirm or better yet, make you mad as hell.

by all means I hope people (everybody) take a look at it. I have and it is pretty compellin. A more compelling indictment of this administration is hard to come by. If you look at this presentation and you're still form a favorable opinion of this administration, there is no hope.
