Has the WP endorsed Bush yet? |
|
You know it is going to happen. They have been a Bush lapdog for 3 years now. They go nuts 24/7 over Whitewater when there was clearly nothing there to begin with and then give Bush a pass on akll his liesa nd crimes. I dont remmeber the last time the WP endorsed a repub for prez but I am sure they will endorse their girlfriend Bush!

They'll endorse Kerry.
I work in DC, and the desire among govt workers and ordinary folks on the DC streets to get rid of Bush is pervasive. The Post endorsement will reflect that. The Wash Times, on the other, will back Bush, no surprise.

3. So what is the WP waiting for? |
|
I remember watching an editor from the WP on TV a few weeks ago and he said that things are different this year and they are not going to blindly endorse any candidate.....that they are taking this much more seriously this year.....that worried me.

They are running a series of editorials on their issue stances. WaPo isn't impressed with either of them on homeland security. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A38854-2004Oct16.html

5. Washington Post is my "hometown" paper |
|
After 9/11, they definitely baahed and herded with the rest of the bushco sheep, but have been more balanced lately. My feeling is that they will either not endorse anyone, or that they will endorse Kerry. From the reporting, it seems the feeling at the paper is that Kerry over analyzes, but that Bush is downright dangerous. Plus, their readership (from DC, Maryland & No. Va) is pretty darn pro-Kerry.
