"Has bush Lost His Reason"? From the Guardian... |
|
Here's an interesting little tidbit from the Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uselections2004/comment/story/0,14259,1329540,00.htmlEnjoyable little piece from our friends across the pond....:) I was led to this article by another user, BTW; I think it was a good pickup.

1. This part sounds like they've been reading DU |

But I have heard wild speculation in Washington that he is suffering from a neurological disorder, or that the years of alcoholism might finally be taking their toll on his brain.
I think it unlikely that Bush was wearing a bug so that he could be fed lines in at least one of the debates, but it is indicative of how his capabilities are regarded these days that the suggestion that he needed advice is given credence, as well as passing mentions in the powerful Washington Post and New York Times .
It does not help that Bush now lives in a positively Nixonian cocoon. He does not read newspapers; he sees television only to watch football; he makes election speeches exclusively at ticket-only events, and his courtiers consciously avoid giving him bad news. When he met John Kerry for their first bout on the debating platform, it was almost a new experience for the President to hear the voice of dissent.
A senior Republican, experienced and wise in the ways of Washington, told me last Friday that he does not necessarily accept that Bush is unstable, but what is clear, he added, is that he is now manifestly unfit to be President.

10. Here in NE, vocal support of bush has all but dried up.... |
|
If they are hiding in Nebraska....the rest of the nation must really despise this guy...or at least worry about his fitness to remain in office. Let's not forget the last of the Reagan years....:scared:

-snip- But the momentous decision awaiting Americans is not whether they return to power a President who is uniquely qualified to protect the US against terrorism, as Cheney et al would have us believe. It is whether they re-elect a man who, it is now clear, has become palpably unstable. -snip

Bush does not employ reason because he is incapable of thinking analytically.

12. Gonna say...a better way of phrasing it might be: |
|
"Has Bush lost his few remaining functioning brain cells?"

7. It is always good to see what our friends across the sea,.... |
|
think about our political process. This particualr article/commentary is a beautiful example of why we should be more prone to what others think. They often see things that we don't notice as readily.
I thought bush's head was going to explode in the 3rd debate; he looked like a plum w/eyes!

11. Something occurred to me upon seeing Bush*s shocked |
|
expressions during the debates. Is it possible that he has been so coddled, so sheltered, that the debates were the first time he heard about the things Kerry leveled against him?
I almost felt sorry for the guy! It looked completely shocked.

13. YES. I absolutely believe that that's possible. He's more sheltered than |
|
Michael Jackson. He lives in his own little fantasy world.

They treat him as if he were royalty...:wtf:
He is as sheltered an individual we have ever had, in the WH. Could you imagine an FDR, Truman, Eisenhower being this sheltered?
IMHO bush cannot handle the stress and strain of actually having to think through a problem. If you've ever seen him out on his own, unscripted, he is a complete buffoon! He NEVER makes ANY sense when he gets to talk on his own! He hasn't got a clue....x(
Someone this sheltered, needs to go back to Crawford and eat BBQ and never worry about the problems of the world, (not that he does anyway!).
Even Ari Fleischer couldn't handle it anymore...he suddenly found a conscience, and ran as fast as he could before he caught fire w/the rest of them.
This is, by far, the WORST president we've ever had!....:puke:

15. Speaking of royalty, I don't know if this is a joke or not but I read that |
|
Bush redecorated the Lincoln Bedroom and there is now a gold crown with fabric over the bed. I will try and find a link.

16. Oh...that is truly disgusting, if true.... |
|
I recall the Reagan 'links' to the British Royal House, and wondered what the Founders would have thought of that! There was also an unsustantiated rumor that the bush family is related distantly to British Royalty.
I hope you find that link....
I know there is no blood relation between the Royal House of Saud, and the bush's, but there are an awful lot of ropes tied to them....these clowns seem to love the trappings of Royalty! Where is Andy Jackson and TR when you need them? How quickly people forget what a Democratic Republic is, I am appalled.
