DeLay stiffs High School Debate Club. Refuses to participate in debate.
The Clear Lake High School Debate club organized a candidates forum on Tuesday Oct 19th. DeLay in a local interview has officially REFUSED to participate with the excuse " I’d much rather be out with constituents, meeting them and going to events." (WHAT DOES HE THINK A CANDIDATES FORUM IS?)

The Debate Club distributed over 11,000 flyers. Candidate Richard Morrison's volunteers put out 8000 door hangers in the area about the event. They are expecting a very large crowd, with media attention.

And yet, “A debate would be for his benefit, not for mine,” DeLay said of Morrison. (DEBATES ARE FOR THE PEOPLE! NOT THE CANDIDATES!!!!)

We will be protesting him tomorrow.

1. Tom DeLay is the antichrist
I don't live anywhere near Texas and I've sent money to Morrison.

3. DeLay probably refused to debate on the advice of his criminal attorneys.
DeLay's lawyers know that the subject of DeLay's numerous felonies will come up and DeLay would have to refuse to comment on the advice of counsel, essentially pleading the fifth. The lawyers also would be concerned that DeLay would commit additional felonies during the debate since he apparently does nothing without committing at least one crime.

Morrison should find a way to raise the question of whether DeLay's refusal to debate was on the advice of his criminal attorneys.
