Florida Today: Strong Endorsement for Kerry!
Here's our local paper (Central East Coast Fla) with a ringing endorsement for the good guy:

http://www.floridatoday.com/!NEWSROOM/opedstory1017WKERRY.htm

<<This is what America faces this morning: U.S. troops are under fire and dying in Iraq -- the worst foreign-policy debacle since Vietnam -- in a war that didn't need to be fought.

More Americans are without health care, nearly 45 million, and in poverty, almost 36 million, than ever in the nation's history.

Working-class families are steadily losing ground as decent-paying jobs disappear, while a record federal budget deficit and historic national debt are drowning the country in red ink that will choke future generations.

That's the tip of the iceberg, and all of it has occurred under President George W. Bush.>>

It's worth a full read.

1. ...The right man at the right time to take it in a new direction.

Here's what Kerry will do:

Abroad, see the world with a clear, realistic eye -- not a reckless, go-it-alone ideology -- and rebuild shattered alliances to far more effectively fight international terrorism and try to salvage the disaster that's occurring in Iraq.

At home, end the genuflection to powerful corporations and the wealthy, and provide a genuine voice for the average working man and woman who need better jobs and health care, but are getting neither.

Achieving this will be hard because of the deep hole President Bush has dug in Iraq -- and his unwillingness to admit his grievous errors there -- and his "compassionate conservatism" that has proven coldly hollow.
