1. Have you ever been to SC?? |
|
Take a trip their and you will get all your questions answered..The sad part is 1/4 of the state lives below the poverty line but they will reelect this dumbass because he has a wedge issue they are supporters of.

4. Why would anyone want to go there to be surrounded by dumbasses? |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 11:09 AM by 3113
The people of SC have already proved they are a bunch of dumbasses for electing him in the first place. To reelect him is an embarrassment to the few sane people of the beautiful state of SC.

I was thinking the same thing. What a joke? He dodges his own comments. Typical.

I've been watching, or reading the transcripts, of these MTP Senatorial debates. I was terribly unimpressed with Oklahoma's Brad Carson, a bit annoyed by Colorado's Ken Salazar, and Tom Daschle generally leads to a bit of disgruntlment anyway. I have to say: I liked Inez Tenenbaum (despite grievances on, say, the War in Iraq... you take what you can get from a red state). Then again, she has a pretty good punching bag in Jim DeMint to work with (National Sales Tax???).
A bit miffed that DeMint has had the advantage.

6. Lordy, are people actually voting for this man? |

I was ready to switch the channel, but I hung in there. He wouldn't even back up his own dumb ass remarks. I can't believe people will actually vote for this man. Ugh.

The troops don't have the armor they need because Kerry voted against funding.
Hello!!!......The chimp got the fucking money, asshole. Where did it go, other than into Cheney's bank accounts?

10. Inez is pretty well thought of here in SC-- |
|
she's been head of the State Dept. of Education for quite a few years now and has done great things for the state (not hard to do though considering we were just behind Mississippi in ed stats at #49 worst in the nation when she took office). DeMint is from the upstate and that is Ground Zero for Freeper Central. We have a large minority population and they traditionally vote Democratic. The key for a Democrat to win in this state is to capture enough of the Independent & Moderate Republican vote. I think Inez is going to do just that and win on Nov. 2nd. The last polls I saw showed them pretty much in a tie race. The 23% flat tax and the comments on gays and pregnant single women not being able to teach in the classroom have really hurt him here (although the freepers, of course, loved it). He's done very badly in the debates too and I think they've still got at least a couple of more to go before Nov. 2nd.

12. DeMint showed himself to be a fool |
|
on MTP today . Russert called him on 2 statements he made during the campaign . Tim showed a clip of the Congressman saying that homosexuals should not be allowed to teach in our schools and then showed a quote where the moran added that single mother should be barred from teaching too . When confronted with these gems of intolerance , DeMint opined that these were matters for local school boards to decide and said he had apologized , not for the substance of the remarks , for distracting the discussion from the real issues . Russert looked amazed at his answers . There was much more , but this should give you an idea of how awful this guy is .
