1. I don't live in the Philly Suburbs but...
I was driving through Radnor (I think that was the name of the town), which is a Philly suburb last week and I saw many, many Kerry signs on cars and lawns. They even had several Kerry/Edwards stands set up in the middle of the town distributing stickers, buttons and pamphlets to whoever wanted some.

It was a good thing to see, especially since it was an affluent area

2. Doing OK here in Narberth
area...

Lots of K/E signs, even on houses owned by prominent people in the area including a well-known prez of a Univeristy and business owners.

Narberth/Penn Valley is a fascinating tale of shifting demographics. 20 years ago when I moved in, Narberth had been Rethug for 230 years or so. There's been an enormous influx of progressives, including gays and lesbians, professors and generally bright people. It's a terrific place to live - the land values have just shot up. so guess what - the Narberth boro council goes Dem and they just don't know WTF to do about it. It's like the Red Army came marching thru the town and stopped at the Greek's for dinner (Inside joke).

Penn Valley is wealthy and wildly progressive excepty my neighbor, as I remarked on another thread the other day, is voting for * because of Israel and I just can't change his mind, neither can my wife. We gave up on him. We like the relationship very much and what the heck can you do? I told him that I was a pro-Israel fanatic, but that Bush will jsut sell them down the river in a nanosecond, if it suits his personal/political/religious interests.

We're poised to take PA for the Dems - big pro-choice movement here. Cancels out any remaing neanderthal males in the families.

6. Hi, PCIntern
I'm in Narberth too and am loving all the Kerry/Edwards signs around (mine included!). Looking pretty good here, I agree.

7. Amazing what's happened here, eh?
Are you a short or long term resident? Years ago, when I showed up to vote in a primary, I got ridiculed by the locals...nailed them to the wall a few years later.

10. Are you in Bensalem area or north of there?
It used to be right wing beyond belief in the 50's when I was a kid. Greenwood was pretty progressive for a Repub but glad to see he's leaving and maybe we can pick up a seat. he was the only Rethug social worker in the entire US, probably. Just our luck.

11. Montgomery County
We're doing really well. I have been Phone banking in Norristown and out of about 200 calls I made of Dems and Independents only 2 said they were voting for Bush and the Dems (mostly seniors were really fired up). I live in a very Republican area (Lansdale and Montgomeryville) and there are a lot more Kerry signs than Gore, more Kerry bumpstickers than Bush, and tons more volunteers working for Kerry. Don't worry about PA its not as close as some people say... and in the same breath fingers-crossed.
