Here's an idea ..... DON'T respond to polls |
|
Let the media whores believe that Junior's ahead in the polls. They'll drop their guard a little. I'm in that "cell phone only" group, so I haven't been polled at all, and nobody I personally know has been, even though they all have land lines. So I'm not sure who they're polling in the first place.
Fuck the media whores. Refuse to answer their questions. Or if you can lie convincingly enough, give em pro Bush responses and really skew their numbers. Maybe then they'll drop their guard enough to allow a legal election to proceed?
Well, OK that last part isn't too likely......

I just logged on to DU to post the EXACT same thought!
Seriously, people, quit answering and paying attention to polls. For one thing, you are giving away FREE information that the polling people then make money from. Hell, at least charge them for the information they want. You wouldn't let them mine for gold in your yard without paying you, would you? Of course not! If they call, ask them how much they're paying. When they say "Nothing," tell them that that is precisely how much information they will get from you.
Seriously, quit participating in polls. All they do is screw up the system, imo.

2. I realized that paying attention to the poles |
|
really wore me out and kept me on edge and so I don't go there anymore. In all actuality, the polls go up and down on a daily basis and they are so close. The only pole that matters is the one on November 2nd. And I just can't imagine that they are accurate. I think if the election is fair, Kerry would win in a landslide. My concern is that these polls are scewed so that it will look believable when * is elected. IMO I think now is the time to keep praying for this nightmare to be over and work as hard as we can until then. I have a sign "The nightmare is over" that I intend to put up on the 3rd.

3. That makes absolutely no sense. The reason pollsters like Gallup "jack" |
|
the polls to favor bush is so that undecided voters will believe that since bush is the inevitable winner, they may as well vote for him. If Kerry supporters don't respond to polls, they help to create the impression among undecided voters that * will win anyway so they may as well vote for him.

4. This is an old, old trick. |
|
They're trying to convince people that, "My guy's gonna lose, so I'm not gonna bother to vote."
Sickening.

5. I'm giving up poll watching |
|
as it doesn't do anything but take time and add stress. Besides, I need to be out on the street talking with people instead. And, the only timie I've ever been called I was disqualified due to my age category. Not representing me they aren't. Do polls encourage people to go vote because they think "their" candidate will lose otherwise? I think I can do more on an individual basis.
