Get it through your heads, everybody! Gallup is rigged!
Personally, I don't care if they say *100%, Kerry 0%! Such a result would have just as much credibility as their latest B.S. ! Since they over poll repukes, what do you expect?

I honestly feel that this is a coordinated effort to suppress the vote on our side. I believe that they want * to win, and that skewered poll results help to achieve that goal in two ways: they demoralize the other side, and they make it easier for the repukes to "steal" the election without a paper trail. Think about it. If all the polls showed Kerry up, and * still won, the results would be questioned. This way, they can point to their phony results, and say "Look, he didn't even win by as much as the polls indicated!"

Don't let them manipulate your emotions and your energy! We need to concentrate on getting out the vote.:-)

1. Don't take polls seriously, especially at this point
Especially if you cannot or don't have time to see all the details (e.g., % D and R sampled etc).

5. Go down fighting
That's my motto. I vote for who I want to win, not who I think will win.

2. Absolutely
I see people posting this crap here and am suspicious of their motives. Is it to depress those who work for Kerry? Maybe. Whatever the reason it is annoying. Don't pay attention to the polls people!!!

4. Yeah, really... I say we ask corporations like GE to do a poll
so we can post the results here and get all up in arms... There would be little difference... :eyes:

7. We need the internals of these polls.
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 12:41 PM by Reciprocity
Like this from the Newsweek poll.
Check out partisan breakdown of latest Newsweek poll

354 Republicans (plus or minus 6)
317 Democrats (plus or minus 6)
284 Independents (plus or minus 6)

Keep them. And when someone post a poll trot it out.

10. Gallup had an over sample of Repubs
This explains the results. I can't, for the life of me, understand why they would over-sample Reps unless they simply want the poll to come out more favorable to the Reps. Recent voter registration favors Dems, so there is no reason to believe that this year's electorate is more Rep than previous years.

Take a look at the state polls. We are doing fine in the battle ground states. So, if there is a 8 point Bush lead, why isn't it reflected in the states? This was also true after the Rep convention--Bush's lead did not reflect in the states to match the big "lead" Gallup (and others) stated at the time.

We need to work our *'s off the rest of the way. Turnout is going to be the key. This is reflected in registered voters being better for Kerry than "likely" voters. If we get the new voters to the polls, we win. Period.

12. You're right
You've made some excellent points. You've basically proven that the media and Gallup are purposely slanting their results in the * direction. I think that we should all call them on it. I get tired of e-mailing CNN, but the more people that let them know we are on to them the better.

9. Yes, but, unfortunately, there are people who tend to vote for
the candidate who appears to be winning. One of the repuke talking points out there now, more repetitively, is that we are not voting for John Kerry but rather against *. That may have been
true at one time, but no longer. What WE can do is publicize our UNITED approval of,
and dedication to this good man, more repetitively. I am voting FOR John Kerry!
