1. Just remember, he was killed
I tell you... months ago, just that people do not truly follow the news

If he was killed how can he be causing these many headaches, and if he was not killed why didn't the press run corrections?

Oh never mind ....

:-)

eitehr way I want DNA confirmatioon that this is zarqawi

4. I was just thinking that!
How do they catch a one-legged dead boogey man? A nice diversion from talking about Osama for them.

2. I was just thinking that this morning
They've been trying to paint ol' Hopalong Zarqawi as "eviller than Osama" for months now, tying him to the beheadings and all that crap. If they really were unable to find Bin Laden, maybe they'll try to build up this second rate clown as the substitute October Surprise.

5. I think that they're fixated on Zarqawi
precisely because they know he is long dead and therefore can't be caught. So he can always be "out there" still to nab.

6. and risk the reemergence (and possible traction) of the "they could have
bombed zarqawi several times... and didn't because they didn't want to lose one of their arguments to go into war" line of political attack? Nah... they won't do it.

7. well, Bush had at least 2 chances to get him prior to the invasion...
Bush had at least 2 chances to get Zarqawi prior to the invasion of Iraq, but declined to do so because it would have hurt his case for war.

11. spot on
And they'll do it by taking Fallujah now that they've asked the UK for troops to cover them. They've been building this up attempting to make the victory over the city and capturing Zarqawi a big triumph moment to push them over the edge in the US

12. Bush could of killed him

Pentagon asked to bomb Ansar Al Islam 3x, and Zarqawi was believed to be in the camp on two of those occasions. Bush wanted them alive as his excuse to invade Iraq.

I wish to God the Kerry people would pick up on this and hammer Bush with it.
