Electoral College Calculator 2004
While I was doing some research of poll "predictions" vs "actual outcome" I came across this site. Since I have seen a lot of talk about which state will be red vs blue, I thought I would pass this on to let each of you work out your own scenarios.

here is the link: http://www.uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT/evcalc.php?year=2004

Keep in mind, they have the colors backward (red=dem, blue=rep) which threw me at first. However, I did work out several scenarios that showed just what we "must" win to bring this thing home. The flip side being I also was able to see just how easy it would be for this thing to slip through our fingers again.

All in all, its kind of cool to make the predictions and immediately see the results.

Enjoy,

MZr7

1. by tradition
the incumbant party is blue and the challenger is red. It is only since 2000 that they locked the colors.

2. I think the colors are going to stay locked now.
It was not as much a part of the political vernacular as it has become since 2000.

Too many people will be confused if we switch when Kerry wins.

3. There's also one at LA Times
that you can run your own simulations on, I've been doing it for months. Just click each state to toggle it from one to the other or to tossup. www.latimes.com then scroll down to find it.
