staples through your yard signs
Can you shoot staples through them so that anybody who touches them will get poked and not be able to grab them? Staple gun staples, know what I mean? Would that work?

1. If the staples are long enough.
Small nails would work too. Good idea!

2. I would think a nice contact poison would do the trick....
And help clean the gene pool at the same time.

5. Attach a rat trap somewhere on the
sign and don't put on any lights. When the SOB screams, shoot him....with a camera that is.

7. You could get sued. If some idiot - even though they're breaking the
law - gets hurt trying to destroy your sign on you yard, you could get sued. So be careful on which idea you end up using.

How about that ink they use in robberys where it's red or something and won't come off.

8. barbed wire
someone else posted a while ago that his dad was putting barbed wire in the fold, so that people would cut themselves when they grabbed the sign.

... not that I'm advocating that or anything ...

Just how expensive are those little "First Alert" alarms that shriek loudly when something's moved?

13. First Alert alarms, good idea too
Not very expensive at all, I don't think. And I think there's some battery operated ones too.

9. think messy -- not causing physical damage
like, say, permanant doublstick tape on the sign and on the stick.

or -- if you're in the south and they still have those sticky bug things (those awful strips that bugs stick to) -- ......

12. It won't
One grab and one ow won't cause any damage at all. But it will stop them cold. The only way they could get hurt is if THEY choose to keep trying to take the sign. All the other messy suggestions won't stop anybody.

10. Crisco and cayenne pepper.
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 03:53 PM by gauguin57
The Crisco makes it hard to remove. The cayenne pepper ... well, if Mister/Missus Rethug rubs his/her eyes or any other mucous membrane (even the area around his wee-wee/her mee-mee), he/she will be in AGONY! No permanent injury, but BOY will they be sorry they ever stooped to THEFT on behalf of their half-wit leader.
