Here's what our Kerry crowds looked like today-- PICS

"Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry (news - web sites) speaks to thousands of supporters at campaign rally in Pembroke Pines, Florida October 17, 2004. Kerry sounded a warning to Americans on Social Security (news - web sites) as he headed to Florida on Sunday, a critical battleground state where early voting was set to begin under heavy scrutiny because of the recount controversy four years ago.

With just over two weeks to go until Election Day, President George W. Bush (news - web sites) had the day off in Washington. Bush was in Florida on Saturday. The state's 27 electoral votes likely will be key to who wins the Nov. 2 election."

3. And Bush took the day off!
A SUNDAY at that--when he would likely get his biggest crowds because of people working during the week.

WTF?

5. Here's how it will be reported on Fox
"A few hundred skeptical people showed up to a Kerry rally today. Most of the unenthusiastic crowd remained through Kerry's droning and lackluster speech."

Way to go Pembroke Pines. Show him the Democratic love!

15. I don't normally defend FOX (and I don't think I am now) but
They gave Kerry's new Social Security ad, with Bush's privatization quote, free play today.

shows such a great cross section of the population. Looks like everyone is accounted for! Well, maybe no billionaires....

edit: third photo, not second.

8. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!
Love those Humongous Crowds!

"Kerry talked about Social Security from the pulpit of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio, citing a report in The New York Times Magazine that quoted Bush as telling supporters that "privatizing Social Security" would be high on his second-term agenda.

He called it Bush's "January surprise," and said it may be good for "the wealthiest people and the well connected in America, but it's a disaster for America's middle class."

16. That makes me happy
After the Bush rally in Medford where my friends mother (who met the DNC chair last night) was kicked out for wearing the "Protect our civil liberties" shirt it is nice to see a big crowd for our guy.

20. All That... Without Exclusive Invitations! Without Signing Pledges!
Never in a million years would Bush* dare to have a rally that's open to the general public!!

That's kind of REVEALING, isn't it?

21. This is why I *know* that the polls are just dead wrong.
I mean, Bush took the day OFF, for pete's sake.

Who ya gonna believe, Gallup or your own eyes, right?

28. The polls are total bullshit.
None of them are consistent, every one uses a different method ... the MSM are starting to report that "more Republicans were home when this sample was done," etc. (of COURSE they're home sitting on their asses; they think their little king has a lock on the election; Dems are out phone-banking, canvassing and stuffing envelopes!!)

Do not believe the polls. Believe your gut feeling about America going Kerry; believe your heart!

23. OMG! Is that a political rally or a rock concert?
I was volunteering at the Portland rally with 40,000+, and it blew my mind. Thousands of people couldn't even fit in Waterfront Park and overflowed into the city streets beyond, just to hear the audio from the PA.

What blows my mind even more? That Kerry's getting these amazing crowds damn near EVERYWHERE HE GOES.

There are a LOT of people hungry for a change. Hungry. In a way we've never been hungry before.
